About the Co-Founders
Rob Thomson
Rob Thomson is a 1996 graduate of Center Grove High School whose connection to the community has only grown stronger over the years. During and after college, Rob made the decision to plant roots back in Center Grove, dedicating himself to the place that helped shape him.
Throughout the years, Rob has been actively involved in numerous local groups and boards, always looking for ways to give back and stay connected. After surviving two heart attacks, he’s become a passionate advocate for heart health awareness and a champion for sharing positive stories throughout the Center Grove community.
As co-host of the CG Trojan Beat, Rob brings a unique blend of experience, energy, and hometown pride, using the podcast to celebrate the people, programs, and spirit that make Center Grove so special.
Chris Wood
Chris Wood has been a proud member of the Center Grove community since 1984 and is a CGHS graduate. For over 30 years, he’s coached a variety of sports including basketball, football, golf, and baseball, staying deeply connected to youth and athletics.
Chris has also been involved in sports broadcasting since 2000. He’s worked with ESPN 950 AM, 95.9 The Point, and WCBK 102.3 FM, calling high school football and basketball games. He also hosted the original Center Grove Sports Show live from Chick-fil-A, giving a voice to local athletics.
After a brief break from coaching, he created the Warrior Beat Sports Network, live streaming sports for Whiteland Community High School. Today, as co-host of the CG Trojan Beat, Chris continues sharing stories and celebrating the people who make Center Grove special
